PHASE 1
Developing the proper mindset and setting a clear mission statement for the current program and where you want it to go!

Building the foundation - knowing what you want - creating effectives guidelines, setting routines, effectively managing behavior, structuring and planning rehearsals
PHASE 3
Focusing on foundational musical issues, beginning vocal technique (male voice) matching pitch, handling singers who are struggling in the rehearsal, getting singers to sing with more confidence. Choosing appropriate repertoire.

Meet Your Mentor, Adam Paltrowitz
Hi, I’m Adam, founder of Choral Clarity and a passionate choral director with over 25 years of experience teaching choir to all students who step into my classroom. I firmly believe that effective classroom management is the cornerstone of successful rehearsals, and I’ve dedicated my career to perfecting and sharing this approach.

More About Adam Paltrowitz
I am a passionate high school and middle school choir director with over 25 years of teaching experience. I believe every student can learn to sing, which is why I lead a self-selected choral program where students are not separated by talent or skill level. This approach has created a highly successful program where every student sees themselves as a soloist, developing confidence and self-awareness through singing. It all begins with fostering a positive learning environment and building the foundational skill of pitch matching.
In addition to teaching, I am the founder of Choral Clarity, a widely-recognized resource for choir directors, featuring over 150 insightful blogs and 150+ original choir resources available for instant download. Through my mentorship program, I’ve helped middle and high school choral directors nationwide overcome challenges, refine their craft, and build thriving programs. My blogs, resources, and original choral works have been used by primary, secondary, college, and community choirs worldwide.
I hold a B.S. from New York University and both an M.A. and Ed.M. from Columbia University’s Teachers College. I’m fortunate to share my life with my wife, Blair Goldberg—a Broadway actress and labor & delivery nurse—and our two children, Lyla and Nolan. We live just outside New York City in the beautiful town of Port Washington.
